Life Framer is a platform designed to source creative work and showcase outstanding photography from amateur, emerging or established photographers. The main aim is to bring exposure to talented photographers from all over the world: their talent, their vision, their life.

For this edition of Life Framer's award, artists have been asked to explore the human body – from the head to the toes; its aesthetics, its flaws, its quirks and diversity. In the jury Mona Kuhn, a globally acclaimed photographer, best known for her large-scale, dream-like images of the naked human form.

The history of photography is rich of artists who have been dedicated a big part of their career to the study of the human body. This gives an interesting background in the context of showing, presenting and understanding the evolution of the genre in the contemporary scene.

Ralph Wilson, co-founder at Life Framer, states:  "The Human Body was a deceptively challenging theme. While in one sense it's one of the most accessible, therein lies the problem - it has been the subject of image-making since the dawn of photography and we are now all so used to seeing images of the body, that it can be difficult to say something new.
With this in mind, a literal image of the body, unless exceptionally well done, will struggle to stand out. The image has to communicate something more - something interesting, something that we can relate to in one way or another. It has to be an image about the body, not just of the body.  This is reflected in Mona's beautifully varied selection - each image the work of a talented photographer with something thoughtful to say on the subject."
