ARTIST BOOKS AND OTHER STORIES. Practical exercises to design and create an artist's book.
Historical-theoretical introduction to the world of art publishing through some examples of artist's books from the 1960s to the present.
There will be a lab for the design of a book cover, inspired by Mariana Castillo Deball's "Never Odd or Even" project.
The participants, gathered in small groups and led by Federica Boragina and Giulia Brivio, founders of non-profit association of art publishers, will be invited to invent a title, think of a possible plot and a cover that reflects the Book concept. With this practical exercise you will be faced with the various complexities of the idea of an artist's book.

He is the author of Fabio Mauri, what is, if it is, the ideology in art (Rubettino editore, 2012).
Giulia Brivio (1981) was responsible for the Artistic Italian Archives of Viafarini DOCVA (Milan) and PM of Fiorucci Art Trust (London) until 2013. Currently collaborates with the publishing house Artphilein Editions and with the Choisi (Lugano) To photographic and artist books.
