He is interested in the relationship between the nature of the image and its fracture. By tweaking the photographic process, taking studio-based techniques outside the studio, using natural light and lens manipulation.
Etienne Courtois produces unrestricted images, creating various levels of reading open to a more intimate relation to the image itself.
