The recycling of images in the creative process of a new narrative. Recycling, editing and sequence: these are the main themes of the workshop "How to Recycle in Storytelling" that the curators of the second edition of SÅM Artistic Residency program, the book designer Ania Nalecka and the visual artist Rafal Milach (Magnum Photos Agency) will hold in Bosco Chiesanuova (Verona) during the opening weekend of the 25th edition of the Film Festival della Lessinia from 23 to 25 August 2019.
The starting point of the 2 days intense workshop will be the region of Lessinia and its archives represented in various range of mediums such as photography, literature or film. Participants will have to create a story based on materials found in local library archive or use other visual resources that will be later on recycled into the new narratives. To complete the storylines participants will produce new visuals using photography, collage etc. The outcome of the workshop will be presented in from of zine.
