Fruit Exhibition’s 5th edition, the art publishing fair that will hit Bologna from the 27th to the 29th January 2017.More than 100 international exhibitors will attend the festival in January.
ART ACCADEMIES AND UNIVERSITIES:
Fruit’s boundary with schools and academies gets stronger than ever. The festival is ready to welcome an increased number of international art academies: the Fine Art Academy in Bologna, the Higher Institute for Artistic Industries in Faenza I’ISIA di Faenza, the University of San Marino, the Free University of Bozen and the Fine Art Academy of Caen/Cherbourg.
SOUND EDITIONS:
Next year second important extension to the book market is a project by FRUIT DISCO. It will present a selection of publishers specialized in limited edition, handmade projects for audio and music products, including Trapped in Suburbia, Dutch designer collective with very peculiar projects, and Open Editions founde by Davide Blamey in 1992 as an independent platform for cretiva collaborations.
WORKSHOPS
Registrations open for the first workshops of Fruit 5: FILM TITLE DESIGN with Fernando DomÃnguez Cózar, the creator of Spiderman 3’s title sequences; PROJECTION MAPPING ON POP-UP BOOK by Apparati Effimeri where particpants will animate a book using videomapping; PHOTOBOOK DESIGN curated by Bruno Ceschel, founder of Self Publish, Be Happy, for those who want design and publish their own photobook; COMUNE A TUTTI E’ SOGNARE, a space and time where dream and reality meets through the creation of images with Italian artist Emilio Fantin; INSTANT FILM for the creation of live animation with real-time performances (drawing, painting, decoupage…); SHODO. L’ARTE DELLA CALLIGRAFIA GIAPPONESE curated by the Bokushin School of Oriental Calligraphy, to continue Fruit’s cycle of workshops dedicated to calligraphy.
